Hi lovelies! I have been sick on and off this week which of course blows. However last week, I filmed an updated foundation routine using NARS Sheer Matte foundation which I reviewed recently. I finished the look using Bobbi Brown's lipstick in Hollywood Red, another beau I've been loving. Enjoy!

I've always had mad respect for Bobbi Brown. One of her books, Bobbi Brown: Teenage Beauty, really helped me appreciate understated makeup when I was an angst teenager who was all about the brightest and boldest with glitter and glam.
There is a lot from her makeup line on my wishlist from her foundation stick to her concealers. So when a good ol' friend gave me a couple of gift cards to Dillards I thought this would be a great way to try their lipsticks.
Retailing at $24, this lipstick is a tad bit more than I usually spend on lipsticks with the majority I own being drugstore or Mac. I decided if I were to to spend that much I would want something a little bold but still something I could wear everyday. I decided to go with Hollywood Red, a bright red with the slightest of blue undertones. To all those who speak in mac lipstick lingo, I would classify this as a Cremesheen.
The formula is long lasting (I know, how vagues does that sound?) and only needed to be re-applied after drinking/eating. And when it did fade after eating, it still left a lovely stain. You can apply the color lightly and blot it to have a sheer color or you can pack it on to have a more opaque color.
